Welcome to the Palm Springs Mountain Shadows Homeowners Association Website

Mountain Shadows is conveniently located on the Arnold Palmer managed Tahquitz Creek Public Golf Course, minutes from the airport, downtown Palm Springs, and Palm Desert. This privately gated 26 acre resort community is surrounded with spectacular views of lush green fairways, the San Jacinto Mountain range, mature palm trees and lots of open space to make it a quiet and relaxing environment. There are 186 townhomes in the complex with 6 community pools, 1 spa, 2 lighted tennis courts and an outdoor pavilion. The grounds have an abundance of grapefruit, orange, lime, avocado, and lemon trees available at your fingertips. Beautiful desert landscaping started in the fall of 2015.

Front Gate Entry Instructions:  If you are visiting a home in Mountain Shadows and need access through the front gate, push the arrow keys until you find the last name of the person you are visiting, then push the 3-digit code after the name.   This will call the owner so they can open the gate from their phone.

Residents:  Please register at left to be able to see items only accessible to you.  Once you register, an e-mail will be sent to you when your access has been authorized.

Bulletin Board:  There is a bulletin board on the patio side of the HOA office.  You may list your units for sale or lease and post items for sale.

Reminder:  All owners need to remind their guests and tenants of the Rules and Regulations of Mountain Shadows HOA.  You can find a copy of them on this website.  One of the biggest problems is dogs barking and leaving “presents” around our beautiful landscape.  Always keep your pets on a leash and pick up after them!  Thank you.

SECURITY UPDATE:    Please secure anything valuable out of sight to deter thefts in vehicles and on patios.

ORGANIC RECYCLING IS HERE!  Palm Springs Disposal has dropped off organic recycling bins into each trash area.  Please begin to bag your organic material in clear bags and drop them into the new green bins.  Also, please notify your visitors and renters to do the same. Organic Recycling Brochure

In September 2022 our landscape company started a new project on Golf Club Drive that was approved by the board at the last board meeting.   They are taking out all of the grass and replacing it with a nice landscape design consisting of decorative rocks (big and small) and desert plants. The existing trees and desert plants will stay.  DWA is giving us $3.00/square foot for all grass that we remove.  This rebate will cover most of the cost of the new landscape plan.

POOL UPDATE: All pools and the spa are open and available for use.  Please remember to keep the gates closed and locked, no pets in pool areas, and all pools close at midnight.

ON TUESDAY MORNING, DECEMBER 14, 2021, BETWEEN 5:34AM AND 5:46AM, OUR PING PONG TABLE WAS STOLEN BY A YOUNG MAN ON A GOLF CART.  IF YOU RECOGNIZE HIM OR SAW ANYTHING, PLEASE NOTIFY THE HOA OFFICE.

STREET REPAVING PROJECT: At the end of September 2021 Montecito Drive was repaved.  In June 2023, 4 carports were repaved along with Montecito Circle.

COYOTE WARNING:  April 2024:  There have been numerous sightings of coyotes here, especially at dusk and dawn.  Two dogs have been stalked, one bitten.  They are seen in packs and are preying on people walking dogs.  Carry a big stick, flashlight, air horn, whistle, etc. when out walking.

LOCK YOUR VEHICLES:  Please remember to lock your vehicles at all times.  We have been experiencing petty thefts from time to time on unlocked cars.

TENNIS COURT LIGHTS:  Nighttime tennis is back. The lights on the tennis courts are working on a timer, making tennis after dark a great time to play (especially in the hot summertime). Please make sure the lights are turned off when you leave in consideration of the neighboring homes.
