Welcome to the Palm Springs Mountain Shadows Homeowner’s Association Website

Mountain Shadows is conveniently located on the Arnold Palmer managed Tahquitz Creek Public Golf Course, minutes from the airport, downtown Palm Springs, and Palm Desert. This privately gated 26 acre resort community is surrounded with spectacular views of lush green fairways, the San Jacinto Mountain range, mature palm trees and lots of open space to make it a quiet and relaxing environment. There are 186 townhomes in the complex with 6 community pools, 1 spa, 2 lighted tennis courts and an outdoor pavilion with a ping pong table. The grounds have an abundance of grapefruit, orange, lime, avocado, and lemon trees available at your fingertips. Beautiful desert landscaping started in the fall of 2015.

Front Gate Entry Instructions:  If you are visiting a home in Mountain Shadows and need access through the front gate, push the arrow keys until you find the last name of the person you are visiting, then push the 3-digit code after the name.   This will call the owner so they can open the gate from their phone.

Residents:  Please register at left to be able to see items only accessible to you.  Once you register, an e-mail will be sent to you when your access has been authorized.

Bulletin Board:  There is a bulletin board on the patio side of the HOA office.  You may list your units for sale or lease and post items for sale.

Reminder:  All owners need to remind their guests and tenants of the Rules and Regulations of Mountain Shadows HOA.  You can find a copy of them on this website.  One of the biggest problems is dogs barking and leaving “presents” around our beautiful landscape.  Always keep your pets on a leash and pick up after them!  Thank you.

Neighborhood News

COYOTE WARNING:  Please be aware that numerous sightings of coyotes are happening here, especially at dusk and dawn.  They are seen in packs and are preying on people walking dogs.  No incidents yet, so let’s keep it that way.  Carry a big stick, flashlight, air horn, whistle, etc. when out walking.

POOL NEWS:  During this past summer of 2017, all of the pool chairs and lounges at pools 2-6 were recovered with lighter material.  Please try to keep suntan lotion off the new material by using towels to sit on.

LOCK YOUR VEHICLES:  Please remember to lock your vehicles at all times.  We have been experiencing petty thefts from time to time on unlocked cars.

New Desert Landscape (Summer 2017):  Desert landscape is an ongoing process.  Many areas have been converted, and many areas are coming soon.  By the end of October all projects for the coming year should be complete.  We will also be reseeding during October so green grass should also be coming soon.

Front Porch Patios

As most of you are aware, many homeowners (at their expense) are replacing old plants in the front of their homes with new half-wall enclosed front porch patios. These patios are welcome additions to our neighborhood as they promote conversations between neighbors. Also, they are like an additional room for your home, which enhances your property value. Please be aware that an approved Architecture Application is necessary before you start. You can find this application in the HOA office or on this website.

Tennis Court Lights

Nighttime tennis is back. The lights on the tennis courts are working on a timer, making tennis after dark a great time to play (especially in the hot summertime). Please make sure the lights are turned off when you leave in consideration of the neighboring homes. If you are looking for a tennis partner, please contact the HOA office as there will be a list forming of willing and able tennis players at all levels.  The lock on the front entrance gate has now been fixed, so you will need to use your community key for entrance.
